My Godmother Janet Estelle Collins passed away and was laid to rest on Thursday. Auntie Jan was part of the first generation of African Americans to be hired as service professionals by United Airliines. It's a story not told but should be. It's something United Airliines should be proud of. Many lasted for as long as 30 and 40 years with the airline. That includes my Mom Pat Abraham Yerger.
