San Francisco NFL Super Bowl 55 Bid Could Be Against Los Angeles

San Francisco plans to submit a bid to host Super Bowl 55 in the year 2021 - a date that could put SF in competition with Los Angeles for the right to host that game. This according to a well-placed source. San Francisco's Super Bowl host effort was the most successful ever. And while there were some complaints they were far outnumbered by the number of people who expressed complete happiness with their experience. San Francisco also realized a revenue bump from the Super Bowl: $8.2 million from the hotel tax alone. My estimate was $9.7 million but hat was for a seven day Super Bowl hotel period. The only way San Francisco avoids competition with Los Angeles, where a $3 billion palace for the Rams will get under construction soon, is if LA gets the Super Bowl for the year 2020. Stay tuned.
