After Seattle Seahawks Bad Call In Super Bowl XLIX, Quarterbacks Should Call The Plays

After the awful Seattle Seahawks bad call in Super Bowl XLIX, I think it's time for quarterbacks to be given the right to call their own plays. We have had a generation of quarterbacks who took their play calls from their coaches. And those coaches more often than not have no feel for the flow of the game on the field. Matchup football, scripting, and coaches calling plays have combined to make quarterbacks (except Peyton Manning) androids. Robots who perform. It's time to go back to the days when quarterbacks like Ken Stabler of The Oakland Raiders were true field generals who had a feel for their players and the emotional ebb and flow of a game. If Russell Wilson had that ability, he'd have given it to Marshawn Lynch on that play and came away a hero.
