Cowboys' Dez Bryant Meltdown Sideline Audio Proves Media Racism

Dez Bryant
Dez Bryant was, as this blogger has asserted, making technical arguments, and not a “gimme the ball” rant that the media immediately interpreted in a great example of media institutional racism.

As the video shows, Dez Bryant was the slot receiver in what looks like a three-wide-receiver offense, but in reality is four wide receivers with the tight end being used as the fourth receiver.

Dez Bryant’s assignment was to run a crossing pattern, but he wasn’t given the standard, Bill Walsh Offense instructions to ‘sit down’ when faced with a zone defense. In other words, when running the crossing pattern against a zone, if you don’t stop at a point, the defender can and will smash you when the ball is thrown, forcing an incompletion, or (as happened) the quarterback will miss you because he is throwing to a spot, not to the man.

Dez was reacting to Romo’s miss on the throw, but what he didn’t know was that he was supposed to “throttle it down” as Coach Derek Dooley was saying to him in the video.

That’s not Dez fault, it’s the fault of the design of the Cowboys Offense. Again, that should be part of the playbook, not a sideline conversation. It’s like they’re making fundamental adjustments on the fly, not working a plan from playbook design and training camp work.

Nicki Minaj Booty, Twerking, Dress, And Chanel (+playlist)

An interesting video blog take on Nicki Minaj by Zennie62. She has grown in stature since her 2011 incident at the Hotel Palomar in Dallas.

There she and boyfriend Safaree Samuels were involved in a domestic violence issue where he was siad to have hit her in the face with a suitcase during an argument.

Dez Bryant: Was Media Attack On The Cowboys Meltdown Racist

Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Dez Bryant’s sideline rant wasn’t about him, but the media can’t resist the knee-jerk habit of seeing a black receiver complain about a problem in the game plan and accuse that person of being a ‘disruption’ because, as Gregg Doyel of CBS Sports had the never to write, “presumably because he wasn’t getting the ball enough.”

“Presumably.” Presumably?

Let’s see. What Mr. Doyel wants to do is paint the tired, age-old racial profile of the black receiver as a person who says it’s all about him. Doyel does this because he doesn’t want to deal with the fact that, God forbid, he learns that Bryant has a technical issue with the game plan, the reads, and other details of football.

And why would Doyel do this? Because the CBS Sports National Columnist can’t put it together that a black receiver is actually a smart person who’s an integral part of the Dallas Cowboys game plan formation. In other words, Doyel’s attack was straight-up institutionally racist.
